The idea was liked, it caught on, and a month later, other countries joined our campaign, which thus spread worldwide. 231,000 people signed our application CUBA / NOBEL YES / EMBARGO NO. The actions of the Cuban Medical Brigades are based on the concept of Revolutionary Medicine, as defined in 1960 by Che Guevara, the same doctor, when he established the duty of the state "to provide public medical service to as many people as possible, to establish a preventive medicine program ... and to direct the creative possibilities of all professional medical and health personnel towards the duties of social medicine.
