Bangkok, April 27, 2021. The Cuban Ambassador to Thailand, Héctor Conde Almeida, was received at the Foreign Ministry by Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Director General of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country, with whom he reviewed the current state and perspectives of multilateral relations between the two countries, emphasizing the agenda of the resumed 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Cuban diplomat thanked the government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand for their continued support of the United Nations Resolution on the need to end the 60-year economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States government against Cuba, which has been intensified in times of Covid-19.
Both sides recognized the good state of bilateral relations and reiterated their mutual will to continue strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two peoples and the governments.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of joint efforts in defense of multilateralism and of maintaining coordinated efforts in the various multilateral forums.
