Cuba appreciates international solidarity aid

Cuba thanks those who send solidarity aid to the country from different parts of the world, said the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, on Twitter today.
The Cuban Foreign Minister pointed out that the support of the international community has been fundamental in the midst of the adverse circumstances that the Cuban population is experiencing due to the combined impact of the economic, commercial and financial blockade, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rodríguez Parrilla also thanked the supportive help of Cubans living abroad, who have supported their families.
“In the midst of the adverse circumstances that our population is experiencing due to the combined impact of the blockade and # COVID19, #Cuba thanks those who from different parts of the world send solidarity aid to the country, including Cubans living abroad who support their families, ”he tweeted.
During the last year of the COVID-19 pandemic, the cruel policy of the blockade has been deliberately toughened, causing suffering, deprivation and deprivation for Cuban families.
The inhumane measure hinders access to the necessary medicines, supplies and equipment; it hampers family ties and further restricts the freedom of travel for US citizens.
