Letter from the organization Afrikan Black Star, condemning the US blockade against Cuba
To Her Excellency Ines Fors Fernandez
Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba-Jamaica
Thank you very much for your letter received. The contents were duly noted.
We the ABS demand an end to the blockade of our sister country Cuba. We appeal to the conscience of all the peace- loving people of the world, particularly the humanitarians who reside in the United States of America. The unnecessary suffering of our brothers and sisters who are struggling as a direct result of the inhumane actions of the United States Government is, and will always be unacceptable to us, for injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere.
Those who had voted for President Biden did so under his promise to lift the inhumane and unjustified blockade against Cuba. It is imperative that there is a unified push from all concerned peoples towards the Government to fulfil this promise.
We unequivocally demand that all sanctions against Cuba be lifted. We also reiterate what was stated by the United Nations for the world to work in cooperation and in the spirit of brotherhood, especially during this time where we are all fighting a common enemy -Covid 19
CUBA YES! BLOCKADE NO!
Kind Regards
Imhotep Ashanti (signed)
