"End the blockade, let Cuba breathe," was the message sent by the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE) in front of the US embassy in Athens. Members of the Organization formed the specific motto with their body, while also lighting torches.
With this mobilization, the KNE sent the message that "Cuba is not alone" and that "imperialist provocations will not pass."
The members and friends of the KNE gathered in the Eleftherias Park, where Nikos Zacharopoulos, member of the Organizing Committee, spoke. Immediately afterwards they marched towards the American embassy in Athens.
With today's demonstrations in Athens and Thessaloniki "we shouted aloud:" Without a doubt from Cuba! The provocations of the imperialists will not pass! "Cuba is not alone! Cuba will win!", Pointed out N. Zacharopoulos in his speech.
The slogans "Solidarity in the peoples' struggle, down with the provocations of the imperialists", "Your provocations don't work in Cuba, murderers of the North American people", "Imperialism does not happen in Cuba, I call for revolution and" Socialism "and" Together, provocations, embargo, fascism, this is imperialism! ".
The speech was preceded by the following message sent by the Union of Communist Youth of Cuba, on the occasion of the demonstrations of solidarity with the Cuban people around the world, the KNE and the Communist Youth of other countries:
"Comrades, a cordial greeting to all of you. Thank you very much for the expression of solidarity and support that we have received from you. Once again, the United States government, seeking to quell our revolutionary process, has managed to find unscrupulous people on our island. who are ready to sell their dignity in the "empire" and try to destabilize our socialism.
We reaffirm as never before that, under the invincible leadership of our Communist Party, we will face this entire counterrevolutionary wave that seems determined to tarnish our popular sovereignty. Following the call of our president, Diaz Canel, to take to the streets that belong to the revolutionaries, we shout louder than ever: "No one here surrenders!"
