The Cuban ambassador to Cambodia, Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, was received by Min Chandyneth, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Worship and Religion of Cambodia, along with other senior executives in the field.
During the cordial meeting, the diplomat demonstrated, with strong arguments, that the Cuban State recognizes, guarantees and respects religious freedom. Likewise, he lashed out at attempts to defame the politics of the Caribbean island, in campaigns orchestrated by the United States government, whose economic, financial and commercial blockade also affects Cuban religious institutions and their members.
For her part, the Cambodian official praised the ties between Havana and the kingdom, which span various spheres. He advocated continuing the exchanges of experiences between the portfolio he represents and Cuban institutions, linked to the issues of worship and religion.
