On his part, the general secretary of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) Dimitris Koutsoumbas in his speech condemned the blockade of Cuba, and stated that "Biden follows the same patterns as Trump with the most punishing embargo against Cuba." And he added: “For that reason in every Greek there is a Cuban. Cuba has our indivisible solidarity, until victory always ".
In this massive event, which took place in the Tritsi park, the largest in Athens, in which thousands of people participated, both an energetic condemnation of the criminal blockade of Cuba, and a strong message of solidarity with the heroic struggle of his people were heard.
After these words, an ovation from the thousands of Greeks gathered there has broken out: a solidarity ovation from Athens to the people of Cuba who fight and resist.
Among the thousands of people attending the event were militants of the KKE, the KNE, Greek friends in general and several foreign guests, among whom were numerous delegations of communist youth; the ambassadors of Cuba and Vietnam, the consul of Cuba and a representative of Palestine.
Once again, the KKE and the KNE declare their permanent support and friendship with the Cuban revolution, the government and the people of Cuba.
