ICAP delegation visits Barbados and is received by DLP´s Secretary General.

The high-level delegation of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) who visited Barbados between 26 and 30 May 2016 composed his First Vice President Elio Gamez and the Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, Robert Hamilton, was received on his first day of work at the headquarters of the democratic labor Party (DLP) by its Secretary General, George Pilgrim, accompanied by his assistant Senator Andre Morrell time that the historical bond of two Caribbean nations was highlighted.
In the friendly exchange ICAP High Representative outlined the priorities of the work of international solidarity of Cuba and in particular with the Latin America and the Caribbean. In this regard, the main events to be held in the second half of the year, to which the invitation was extended rigorously reviewed. In particular, the commemoration was highlighted in Barbados the 40th anniversary of the terrorist sabotage against the Cubana de Aviacion on the Barbadian territory in October 1976, whose main intellectual and material authors have not yet been brought to justice; and it was noted that the ICAP in Cuba will also celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Independence of Barbados.
For its part, the Secretary General of the DLP highlighted the good relations at government level and people that have developed in the last five decades between the two countries, established following the independence of Barbados.
