Basseterre, February 25, 2022- On Friday morning, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Saint Kitts and Nevis, David Rivero Pérez, was received by Dr. Cameron Wilkinson, Medical Chief of Staff of the Joseph Nathaniel France General Hospital, where most of the members of the Cuban Medical Brigade work.
During the cordial meeting, the diplomat was interested in the performance of our professionals in the two islands that are part of the Federation, while reiterating the willingness of his Government to continue collaborating in this sector.
Dr. Wilkinson thanked Cuba for its historic solidarity in health and highlighted the human quality and preparation of its specialists. In this regard, he recognized the work of the Henry Reeve contingent, which for 18 months contributed to controlling the spread of Covid 19 in the Federation.
At the end of the visit, the Ambassador toured other facilities of the Hospital and was able to greet some of the Cuban professionals who work there.
Also participating in the meeting were Kerry Williams Tuckett, Chief of Nursing and Gail Cranston, Hospital Administrator.
