Cuban Ambassador and Prime Minister of Jamaica advocate strengthening bilateral cooperation

Kingston, Jamaica, 25 May 2022. On the morning of this Wednesday, the Cuban Ambassador Fermín Quiñones paid a courtesy visit to the Right Honorable Andrew Holness, Prime Minister of Jamaica.
Both parties agreed on the historical nature of the relationship between Jamaica and Cuba, and on the importance of deepening and strengthening cooperation and exchange between the two Caribbean islands.

Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Orlando Requeijo, signs the condolences book opened at the Bahrain Embassy in Riyadh, on the occasion of the demise of Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, who has been in this position for 49 years.

The Ambassador of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Hmood bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalifa greeted the gesture by the Cuban Ambassador.

Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc received Cuban President of the National Assembly, Esteban Lazo Hernández, stressing that Vietnam is encouraging the creation of favorable conditions to further the development of bilateral relations. Vietnam continues to pursue the stance of supporting the complete removal of embargoes against Cuba, he said.

Noting that two-way trade turnover between the two countries last year remained low, reaching US$216 million, the PM proposed measures to boost trade relations between the two nations.
