Qatar Fund for Development Announces Donation to Cuba for Hurricane Relief.

(Doha, December 8, 2025) – The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) announced a donation of US$4.5 million to Cuba to support Cuban authorities' efforts to improve essential services for the population in the areas of health, education, and food production, following the impact of hurricanes on the country.

Healthcare Workers in Qatar Celebrate Latin American Medicine Day.

(Doha, December 8, 2025): On the occasion of Latin American Medicine Day, healthcare workers in Qatar held a scientific conference under the theme “Integrating Patient Safety: Risk Awareness, Teamwork, and System Resilience.” The symposium took place at the Cuban Hospital in Dukhan and was attended by 298 professionals. A total of 88 papers were presented, of which 6 received awards for their high scientific quality.

احتفى العاملون في القطاع الصحي بدولة قطر بـ يوم الطب في أمريكا اللاتينية من خلال تنظيم يوم علمي حمل شعار:
"دمج سلامة المرضى: الوعي بالمخاطر، والعمل الجماعي، ومرونة النظام".

وأقيمت الفعالية في المستشفى الكوبي بدخان بمشاركة واسعة بلغت 298 من الكوادر الطبية والصحية.
وشهدت الجلسات العلمية عرض 88 بحثاً تناولت موضوعات متنوعة في مجالات الرعاية الصحية، حيث تم اختيار ستة أبحاث للفوز بجوائز تقديراً لتميزها وجودتها العلمية.

Cuba Present at the 4th Qatar Travel Mart 2025

(Doha, November 27, 2025) – With a simple yet attractive stand showcasing the island's attributes, Cuba participated in the 4th Qatar Travel Mart, the international travel and tourism fair of this Gulf Arab country, which was open from November 24 to 26 at the Doha Exhibition Centre.

The solidarity of Cubans in Qatar with the families affected by Hurricane Melissa is reaffirmed. To love is to help.

(Doha, November 26, 2025). In a beautiful gesture of solidarity, commitment, and support for the homeland and the numerous families affected by Hurricane Melissa, Cuban healthcare professionals working in Qatar, together with the Cuban Embassy, ​​sent a container to the province of Santiago de Cuba to help the affected families. Cuban residents and Arab friends in this Gulf country joined in this initiative.
