Senior Qatari Foreign Ministry officials praise friendly relations with Cuba.
Cuban Ambassador Oscar Leon Gonzalez agreed with his interlocutors at the Qatari Foreign Ministry on the friendly relations developed by the two countries. This fact was highlighted during the meetings held with H.E. Mr. Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, Minister of State; H.E. Dr. Ahmad Hassen Al-Hammadi, Secretary General; and H.E. Ambassador Essa bin Mohammad Essa AlMannai, Director of the Department of American Affairs.
Latin American and Caribbean Ambassadors met at the Cuban Ambassador's Residence in Qatar
The regular meeting of the Group of Latin American and Caribbean Countries (GRULAC) in Qatar was held on April 30, 2023 at the Residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the State of Qatar.
During the meeting, several ambassadors or heads of mission reviewed compliance with previous agreements and devised new actions for the work of GRULAC. This mechanism promotes links between the host country and Latin American and Caribbean nations accredited to Qatar, in different areas, such as, for example, cultural relations.

In this regard, media outlets such as the Qatar News Agency and ASIANTELEGRAPH QATAR reported that Qatar Chamber First Vice-Chairman Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al-Kuwary met recently with Eng. Antonio Rodriguez Rodriguez, President of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources of the Republic of Cuba and accompanying members of the Cuban delegation.
