Donation of books on José Martí to the National Library of Qatar
The Embassies of Cuba and Haiti to Qatar, with the collaboration of the Qatar National Library (QNL), organized an event attended by ambassadors and other guests. The meeting was presided over by H.E. Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kawari, Minister of State and President of the QNL, Cuban Ambassador Oscar Leon Gonzalez, and Haitian Ambassador Jean-Marie Francois II.
The Cuban flag flies in the new Flag Plaza inaugurated in Qatar
The national flag of the Republic of Cuba flies on one of the high flagpoles in the new Flag Plaza inaugurated in Doha, Qatar, in connection with the upcoming celebration of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in this sister country. A banner with information about the Cuban archipelago is also there.
Ambassador Oscar Leon Gonzalez represented Cuba at the inauguration of the new venue, where the Years of Culture community festival showcases cultures, folkloric traditions, and dances of different nationalities.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Written Message from Cuban Foreign Minister
The Cuban Ambassador to Qatar, Oscar Leon Gonzalez, delivered to the Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, a written message from H.E. Bruno Eduardo Rodriguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, addressed to H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, regarding ways to consolidate and develop bilateral ties.
The meeting confirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations.

Mural by Cuban artist Maisel Lopez Valdes unveiled in Qatar
The Cuban Embassy in Qatar in cooperation with the Cultural Village Foundation - KATARA, inaugurated a mural by famed Cuban artist Maisel Lopez Valdes. The work is entitled "Cuban and Qatari friends" and was unveiled on Monday, October 3, a few weeks before the opening of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The Cuban Ministry of Culture and its National Council of Plastic Arts also contributed to the execution of this beautiful initiative.
