The new Liberian scholarship candidates visit the Cuban Embassy to study in Havana.

Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles welcomed the young women selected to study medicine in Cuba. They visited the embassy accompanied by the First Secretary of the Liberian Foreign Ministry, Mr. Aaron Guanue.

The candidates learned about Cuba, part of its history, and the characteristics of their studies in general, and they are very excited about the new chapter that is opening in their lives.

The second group of young people from Saint Kitts and Nevis receives scholarships from Cuba this year.

On Thursday afternoon the ceremony of awarding undergraduate scholarships for five local young people, in the careers of Architecture, Medicine and Health Technology, was held at the headquarters of the Embassy of Cuba,In addition to the Cuban diplomatic staff, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Lisa Pistana, the president of the Association of Graduates in Cuba, Hollis Prentice, Dr Erick Brown, an Engineer who graduated in Cuba, and relatives of the students were present at the event.
