NOTICE ON OCTOBER 10 HOLIDAY

The national holiday of October 10 will be enjoyed by Cuban workers on Monday, October 11, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MTSS).

In accordance with the provisions of Article 94 of Law 116 of the Labor Code, and in view of the fact that this year's historic date coincides with a Sunday, the MTSS said that the Sunday vacation will be moved to Monday, October 11.

African Continental Virtual Meeting in Solidarity with Cuba be held next Thursday, October 7th

 

The VII African Continental Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba will gather friendly voices of the Caribbean nation and in rejection to the hostile policy of the United States.

The event, organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), has among its objectives to strengthen ties between the African continent and our country.

It will pay tribute to the historic leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara, internationalist symbols in the struggles for the independence of the peoples of  the African continent.

New Cuban ambassador to Seychelles accredited

Victoria, 28 september. 

Cuban Ambassador Martha Hernández Caneiro presented today to the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Wavel Ramkalawan, her Letters of Credence as head of the diplomatic mission of the Caribbean nation.

After the official ceremony held at the State House, both parties exchanged in a cordial atmosphere about the good state of bilateral relations and the will to continue promoting the historic ties between the two countries.

New Cuban resident ambassador pays courtesy call on Minister Radegonde

Victoria. 27 de septiembre. H.E Mrs. Martha Hernandez Caneiro, Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Seychelles, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Sylvestre Radegonde, at Maison Quéau de Quinssy.

Ambassador was accompanied by Tomas Mendez Parra, Minister Councilor at the Cuban Embassy. She will be presenting her credentials before the President of the Republic, Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan on Tuesday 28 September, 2021 at State House.

Cuba reiterates its right to defend its integrity and sovereignty.
Cuba is a small island developing state that faces the longest and most incomprehensive system of unilateral restrictive measures applied against any country: the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for more than 60 years, which currently has caused severe damages in the country's economy.
