On July 26, the Cuban ambassador in Kuala Lumpur, Florentino Batista González, participated in the National Congress of the Malaysian Socialist Party (Parti Sosialis Malaysia, PSM).

The Cuban ambassador, who attended the event as a guest, highlighted the historical coincidence that precisely on July 26 the 26th edition of the Congress of the Socialist Party was being inaugurated in this Southeast Asian country.

The Malaysian Socialist Party (Parti Sosialis Malaysia, PSM) developed this week the Solidarity Forum with the theme Resistance and Liberation in the 21st Century.

The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González, was invited as a speaker at this event, which took place in a hybrid manner (in-person and online).

Florentino Batista spoke about Cultural Colonization, and how the phenomenon of categorizing and labeling certain nations or situations dominates the global discourse of the major media and governments.
