He also highlighted the importance for Cubans of this emotional date, which marks the 71st anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, in the cities of Santiago de Cuba and Bayamo, respectively.

The motto of the most important annual meeting of the Malaysian Socialist Party is a phrase by Ernesto 'Che' Guevara: “Be realistic and achieve the impossible,” and with this reference, its organizers also pay tribute to the Cuban Revolution and the values ​​it defends.

In this 26th edition of the National Congress of the Socialist Party of Malaysia, participants are called to discuss the importance of left-wing movements in the world, and call on young people to promote actions that help reduce the inequalities inherent in capitalist societies, as highlighted in his inaugural speech by the national leader of the Socialist Party of Malaysia, Jekumar Devaraj.

The Socialist Party of Malaysia (PSM) was founded in 1998, and this 26th edition of its National Congress is held for the first time in the Malaysian state of Johor Bahru, between July 26 and 28, 2024.
