Cubans in South Africa celebrate "International Women's Day"
Pretoria, March 8, 2021.- With a simple but emotional activity, the group of the Cuban Embassy in South Africa, together with a representation of the Island's collaboration brigades in this sister African country, celebrated the “International Women's Day”.
The women received the entertainment of their companions, who highlighted the role of women in Cuban society and in the internationalist work of our country, gave them postcards and verses.
South African Foreign Minister supports Henry Reeve Cuban Medical Contingent nomination for Nobel Peace Prize
The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, Dr. Naledi Pandor, intervened in the special debate of the National Parliament on the Cuban medical presence in the country, on which occasion she presented the forceful arguments taken into account by the South African government when taking the decision to formally nominate the “Henry Reeve” Medical Contingent for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Cuba and South Africa advance bilateral cooperation on science, technology and innovation.
Pretoria march 4, 2021.- Through videoconference, a fruitful working meeting was held today between executives and specialists from Cuba and South Africa, with a view to expanding and diversifying bilateral cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation.
The Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, the Biocubafarma Group, the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (CIGB) and the Cuban Embassy in South Africa were the Cuban institutions represented.
