Cuban Ambassador Invited to Launch of Liberia's Youth and Sports Policy

Following parliamentary debates and approval, Liberia is showcasing, for the first time in its history, a comprehensive national policy, framed within a five-year timeframe and accompanied by festive activities, educational events, games, and traditional music.

The Cuban Ambassador to Liberia, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, was invited to the policy launch in recognition of Cuba's support in training the country's coaches and athletes.

The Cuban Minister of Education, Dr. Naima Ariatne Trujillo Barreto, participated in the Education 2025 World Forum (EWF), held from 18 to 21 May at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London, United Kingdom. The event brought together 122 ministers from 124 countries, making it the largest annual gathering of global education leaders.

The Cuban Ambassador in Monrovia, Dr. Indira López Argüelles, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, invited by its Minister a.i. J. Bryant McGill.

 

The Honorable Mr. Mcgill in charge of Sports Development issues, explained the projects planned by Liberia to promote athletes, the

importance of sports practice to control juvenile delinquency and the multiple necessities that Monrovia requires in the area of facilities, installment capacities and technicians.

Ulaanbaatar. February 9, 2016. The Secretary General of the Mongolian Youth Federation Mr. Ankhjargal P. received today morning the Ambassador of Cuba Raúl Delgado Concepción. During the animated meeting were addressed the circumstances of the work that young Mongols and Cubans  do, as well as the future challenges posed by the economic, political and social situations of both countries.
