Santiago de Cuba, Dec 3 (Prensa Latina) The first secretary of the Union of Young Communists, Susely Morfa, affirmed today that the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, is passing towards immortality, while the new generations follow his legacy.
We will not defraud the confidence that he always deposited in the youth and as in that moment in which he asked us to continue the example of the guerrilla Ernesto 'Che' Guevara, now this generation also aspires to be like Fidel, emphasized Morfa in the posthumous act to the leader.
On behalf of the young Cubans, she expressed the commitment to be better at studying, at work and at defending the Fatherland: each of us will follow the perfectible work of revolutionaries like him.
Fidel made us grow as a nation in the eyes of a world that has respected and admired us since 1959, the youth leader said in a posthumous tribute in the Plaza de la Revolución Antonio Maceo of Santiago de Cuba.
Today we live in that difficult moment in which we must contemplate the departure of an exemplary soldier, a continuator of José Martí's work, he said.
Millions of Cubans and revolutionaries from all over the planet have grown up with the teachings of the Commander-in-Chief, he recalled.
Fidel taught us that the principles are unshakable, that being anti-imperialist is the essence of our historical struggles, that solidarity and internationalism make us grow as human beings, emphasized the first secretary of communist youth.
'Thank you Commander; thank you Raul, for the victorious Revolution and for having a dignified and free homeland ', Morfa emphasized.
