US Military Deployment in the Caribbean Sea Threatens the Region Under Absurd Pretexts

The Cuban Government strongly rejects the current deployment of United States military forces in the Caribbean Sea. This dangerous action represents a serious threat and an aggressive show of force against the sovereignty and self-determination of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. Furthermore, it ignores the commitment of the 33 Member States of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States when they proclaimed the region as a Zone of Peace.

Ambassador of Cuba to India visits Kiit and Kiss University in Odisha

26 August 2025, Odisha-  Ambassador of Cuba to India Juan Carlos Marsán and First Secretary Maiky Díaz Pérez paid a visit to KIIT and KISS University in the state of Odisha, responding to an invitation from their authorities. 
The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) is devoted to vocational studies and the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) comprises school, college and university. This is the first accredited tribal teaching institution in India, hosting some 80,000 students.

Student from Bhutan expresses gratitude for Cuba's solidarity

In an emotional ceremony held today, Bhutanese student Gelley Jamtsho, received the file that certifies has been awarded a medical scholarship by the Cuban government to Bhutan for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The student grateful the Cuban government for its solidarity despite difficulties caused by the blockade imposed on the island by the US government.

Cuban Embassy in India participates in several activities in honor of Fidel, organized in the state of Odisha.

Odisha, 21 August 2025- The Cuban Ambassador to India, Juan Carlos Marsán, and the First Secretary, Maiky Díaz Pérez, participated in the launch of the biographical book about Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, "100 Years With Fidel," written in Odia tongue by Cuba´s friend Bijay Kumar Padhihari, Secretary General of the Indian Association for Cultural Exchange and Friendship (ISCUF).

A soccer cup dedicated to Fidel's centenary is inaugurated in India.

With the presence of comrade M. A. Baby, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India - Marxist (CPI-M) and the Cuban Ambassador, Juan Carlos Marsán, the “Fidel Castro Centennial” Soccer Cup, organized by the National Committee of Solidarity with Cuba in India, was inaugurated.

The Cup pays tribute to the legacy of the undefeated Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, with the aim of honoring and remembering his humanist thinking, particularly the development of sport, with access for all citizens, as a right of the people.
