Cuban Embassy in India carries out a working visit to the state of Kerala

The Cuban Ambassador to India, Juan Carlos Marsán and the First Secretary Maiky Díaz Pérez carried out on 23-24 May 2025 a working trip to the state of Kerala with the purpose of advancing in the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit to Cuba of the Governor of that state, Mr. Pinayayi Vijayan, in June 2023, and of the Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba Eduardo Martínez Díaz to India, last March.

A bilingual book (Spanish-Hindi) of José Martí's works is launched in India.

The Embassy of Cuba in India in collaboration with the Sahytia Akademi launched a bilingual book on José Martí, in the framework of the 130th anniversary of the fall in combat of our National Hero. The book entitled “Martí, a man of all times” is a Hindi translation of an important part of the Apostle's work, which will contribute to a better knowledge and dissemination of the thought of the most universal Cuban in India.

In May 2015, a Cuban medical brigade arrived in Nepal to assist the victims of the powerful earthquake that had struck that sister country a month earlier. Our specialists remained in these distant lands for more than 90 days, providing medical care to thousands of patients in the affected districts of the capital, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur.

Cuban Embassy participates in INDEX 2025

From May 2 to 4, 2025, Ambassador Juan Carlos Marsán and First Secretary Maiky Díaz Pérez of the Cuban Embassy in India participated in the INDEX 2025 event, which took place in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala.
This event was organized by the National Industries Development Council Committee (NIDCC), with the support of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of India (MSME).

Distinguished Cuban Diplomat Abelardo Moreno Fernández Passes Away

Havana, April 19, 2025 – Abelardo Moreno Fernández, a distinguished Cuban diplomat, passed away this morning in the capital at the age of 80.

Abelardo began his career as a specialist at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in July 1961. He pursued a remarkable and upward trajectory in Revolutionary Diplomacy, taking on various responsibilities both domestically and internationally. In 2000, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, a role he held with distinction until January 2019.
