Statement by 123 countries demanding the exclusion of Cuba from the Unilateral List of States that allegedly sponsor terrorism

The List of States Allegedly Sponsoring Terrorism goes against the fundamental principles and peremptory norms of international law, including international solidarity. The process through which the designation is made is unclear and non-transparent.

Cuba appreciates the donation of 80 tons of active pharmaceutical ingredients from India.

A ceremony was held in Cuba to welcome the donation sent by the Government of India of 80 tons of active pharmaceutical ingredients, worth 10 million EUR, which will be used for the production of oral and injectable antibiotics for hospital and community use in our country. This contribution reaffirms the close ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the peoples of Cuba and India, maintained for more than 60 years. 

The Cuba solidarity movement in India demands the immediate removal of Cuba from the list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism.

Different political forces in India, led by the National Cuba Solidarity Committee, organized a solidarity meeting to demand the immediate exclusion of Cuba from the spurious list of alleged State sponsors of terrorism, on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the attacks on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks and the 65th anniversary of Che's visit to India.

Cuba participates in the India-IA Global Summit held in New Delhi.

As the main chair of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), India hosted GPAI member countries and world experts at the India-IA Global Summit held in New Delhi in July. Within the framework of the Summit, Cuba was invited to participate in a round table dedicated to “Artificial Intelligence for Global Good: Empowering the Global South”. Cuba's First Deputy Minister of Communications, Wilfredo Gonzalez Vidal, participated virtually, and the Second Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in India, Malena Rojas Medina, was present. 

Meeting of solidarity with Cuba held in the state of Kerala. 

During a working visit to the southern state of Kerala, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in India, Abel Aballe Despaigne, participated in a meeting of solidarity. The event was attended by the president of the Committee for Solidarity with Cuba in that state and former speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, Vinaykumar, as well as representatives of different forces of the solidarity movement with Cuba in Kerala.
