President Díaz-Canel in Cuba after participating in the Celac-EU Summit.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel returned today after completing a work program in Portugal and Belgium, which began on July 13.

According to the Presidency, he was received at José Martí International Airport by Vice President Salvador Valdés and Roberto Morales, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba.

Díaz-Canel advocates building better EU-Latin America relations

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel called here today at the Third Summit of the European Union (EU) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to build better bi-regional ties for the benefit of the peoples.

"I firmly believe that we can and must build better relations: more just, balanced, supportive and cooperative to improve the lives of our peoples," he said at the plenary session of heads of state and government of the forum that ended on Tuesday.
