There are no talks with the US government, except for technical contacts in the area of migration. 

We have always been willing to engage in serious and responsible dialogue with the various US administrations, including the current one, on the basis of sovereign equality, mutual respect, principles of international law, mutual benefit without interference in domestic affairs, and with full respect for our independence.

#Cuba denounces and demands URGENT reaction from the international community against the criminal attack by the United States on #Venezuela.

“We strongly condemn the ongoing military aggression by the #USA against #Venezuela. The bombings and acts of war against Caracas and other locations in the country are cowardly acts against a nation that has not attacked the US or any other country,” the Foreign Minister declared on X.

The Cuban government today strongly condemned the recent airstrikes perpetrated by the United States against Venezuelan territory, calling them an act of state terrorism and a flagrant violation of the South American nation's sovereignty.

The Cuban Government strongly rejects the current deployment of United States military forces in the Caribbean Sea. This dangerous action represents a serious threat and an aggressive show of force against the sovereignty and self-determination of the peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean. Furthermore, it ignores the commitment of the 33 Member States of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States when they proclaimed the region as a Zone of Peace.

In some media they were presented as uprisings against the government of Cuba and parallels were even drawn to the protests in Eswatini against elite corruption and royal dictatorship. We wish to clarify the events in Cuba and place them into their political and socio-economic context.

Namibia, October 21st, 2019- Under the auspices of the Municipality of City of Windhoek, capital of Namibia, and the embassies of Venezuela and Cuba, the first edition of the NamCuVe Film Festival was inaugurated. The cinematographic event will take place from the 21st to the 24th  of this month and will have as its headquarters three constituencies of the Katutura neighborhood.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, participated in the activity, organized by the Embassy of Venezuelan in that Eastern Caribbean country, to commemorate the 198th anniversary of the Battle of Carabobo, a decisive feat in the independence of Venezuela from the Spanish yoke.
