CEDA Executive Director signs Plan of Action with Cuba in the FIHAV-2017

The Executive Director of the Caribbean Agency for the Development of Exports (CEDA), Dr. Pamela Coke-Hamilton, attended the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV-2017) between October 30 and November 2, holding official talks with the Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Iliana Núñez, and with the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cuba (CCC), Orlando Hernández Guillén. With the latter, Coke-Hamilton signed an Action Plan for the next two years of work, which will promote actions with a view to diversifying exports between the Caribbean islands.

Minister Donville Inniss chairs Barbadian delegation to the FIHAV-2017

The Minister of International Business, Donville Inniss, chaired the delegation of Barbados to the 35th annual edition of the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV-2017) held between October 30 and November 3 last. The broad representation of Barbados was integrated this year by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI), Eddy Abed, the Vice President of the Investment Development Corporation (BIDC) and managers of six companies, three of them present for the first time in this important forum.

SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE 35TH INTERNATIONAL HAVANA FAIR (FIHAV 35)

The Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, was received by Sandy Peters-Philips, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Commerce of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

During the meeting, the Permanent Secretary informed that the Vincentian Company "East Caribbean Metals / Plastic.” will represent the country again, in the 35th edition of the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV), to be held from October 30 to November 3 this year 2017.

Chambers of Commerce of Cuba and Barbados to sign of a memorandum

The Chambers of Commerce and Industries of Barbados (BCCI) and Cuba (CCC) intend to sign a Memorandum of Understanding within the framework of the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV-2017) to deepen the economic and commercial ties between both countries. This was discussed at a fruitful working meeting of the BCCI Executive Director, Carlos Wharton, and the Cuban Ambassador, Francisco Fernández. For this purpose, in November, the visit to the FIHAV-2017 of the President of the BCCI, Eddy Abed, is scheduled.
