The celebration of International Workers' Day takes place at a time of emergency for humanity and a systemic crisis imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The emergency is not only sanitary. It is also economic, political and social. It demonstrates the injustices of the international economic order, in which selfish political decisions prevail, which favor the obtaining of profits over the preservation of human lives.

The Cuban Ambassador to Thailand, Héctor Conde Almeida, was received at the Foreign Ministry by Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Director General of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country, with whom he reviewed the current state and perspectives of multilateral relations between the two countries, emphasizing the agenda of the resumed 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Diaz-Canel describes US blockade against Cuba as criminal
Havana, Apr 19 (Prensa Latina) The US blockade against Cuba is a crime against humanity, President Miguel Diaz-Canel, now as first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), reiterated on Monday. The Cuban president closed the 8th Congress of the party, which he described as a milestone in the historic continuity of the Cuban Revolution.
At the Congress, he said that the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by Washington for over 60 years on its small neighboring country has worsened due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
