On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A.Nurberdiyeva received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Turkmenistan Alfredo Nieves Portuondo.
On behalf of the Head of State, the National Parliament Chairperson congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of his diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan, having expressed the wishes for success in strengthening the ties of friendship and mutual understanding, and developing interstate relations.
Akja Nurberdiyeva, President of the Parliament of the Republic of Turkmenistan, received in a solemn audience, as established by the protocol of that Central Asian nation, the credentials of the new ambassador of Cuba in that country, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo.
In her words of welcome, Nurberdiyeva explained the social achievements of her nation, wished the Cuban ambassador success in fulfilling her new duties and delivered a special message from the President of the Republic, Gurbanguly Berdimujamédov.
