Gathering with Ugandan female leaders

Kampala. On the afternoon of December 10, Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques was welcomed by a group of leaders of Ugandan women's organizations headed by Thelma Owori, Honorary Consul of Liberia in Kampala and the Women for Peace Organization, on the occasion of the end of her diplomatic mission in that country.

The possibility of having a broad representation of organizations and generations allowed for discussion on results and challenges in the empowerment of women in our societies.

Cuba and Uganda: 50 years of diplomatic relations.

Kampala. On December 6, the Cuban Embassy in Uganda hosted the closing celebration of the program of activities for the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Uganda.

Chaired by the Honorable Oryem Okello and Dr. John Muyingo, Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Higher Education of Uganda, respectively, the event was attended by members of the Diplomatic Corps Accredited in Kampala, representatives of the Ugandan government, organizations and institutions, as well as members of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in that African nation.

Cuban Ambassador visits Uganda Management Institute on the occasion of the end of her diplomatic mission.

Kampala. On the afternoon of December 5, Tania Perez Xiques, Ambassador of Cuba visited the Uganda Management Institute, as part of the program on the occasion of the end of her diplomatic mission in Uganda.

Chaired by Dr James Nkata and the Cuban diplomat, the excellent state of the cooperation project between that institution and the Higher Institute of International Relations "Raúl Roa" was evaluated.

Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda receives Cuban Ambassador on the Occasion of her Diplomatic Mission.

Kampala. On the morning of November 28, the Honorable Anita Among, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Uganda, received the Cuban Ambassador Tania Pérez Xiqués, on the occasion of her tour of duty comes and end.

The leader of the Ugandan parliament thanked the efforts made to promote relations between the legislative bodies of both countries.

For her part, the Cuban diplomat recognized the support received from that legislative body during her work in Uganda.

Cuban Ambassador thanks the farewell by the group of African Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls in Uganda

Kampala. On the evening of November 22, the Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques attended the farewell offered by the Group of Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls from Africa accredited in Kampala.

On the occasion when the much-loved High Commissioner of South Africa and until then Dean of this African diplomatic group was also said goodbye, the work of both diplomats was recognized, at the same time that the historic ties between Cuba, Fidel Castro and the African continent were highlighted.
