Cuba in Uganda

Cuba and Rwanda ratify the strengthening of relations between the ruling parties.

Kigali. On the morning of June 5, the Honorable Consolee Uwimana and the Honorable Wellars Gasamegera, vice president and general secretary of the Rwandan Patriotic Front, respectively, received the Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques at the headquarters of the ruling party.

Following the recent visit to Cuba of the delegation headed by the vice president of that political organization and the signing of a Cooperation Agreement, both parties evaluated the course of action for the conduct of exchanges and cooperation between both governing parties.

Rwandan Foreign Minister of State receives Cuban Ambassador

Kigali. On the morning of June 5, the Honorable Retired General and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of Regional Cooperation James Kabarebe received the Cuban Ambassador Tania Perez Xiques.

During the meeting they reviewed the state of bilateral relations, mainly the results achieved in 2023 and 2024, in which there have been exchanges of high-level governmental and political visits, as well as the renewal of bilateral cooperation projects.

Uganda once again stands in solidarity with Cuba

Kampala. On June 1, leaders of the organizations that make up the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Uganda held a meeting at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy.

The implementation of the agreements adopted at the Seventh Conference of Solidarity with Cuba held in South Africa and the National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba in Uganda were the focus of the extensive discussions held by more than 20 Ugandan representatives.
