Uganda once again stands in solidarity with Cuba
Kampala. On June 1, leaders of the organizations that make up the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba in Uganda held a meeting at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy.
The implementation of the agreements adopted at the Seventh Conference of Solidarity with Cuba held in South Africa and the National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba in Uganda were the focus of the extensive discussions held by more than 20 Ugandan representatives.

Leonel Caraballo Maqueira and Ambassador Eumelio Caballero Rodríguez, Vice Chancellor and Director of Relations Internationals of the Cuban teaching institution visited Uganda, as a conclusion of their tour of the African continent.

According to U.S. official media reports, on 15 May 2024, the country’s State Secretary submitted to the Congress one more of the arbitrary reports that normally describe countries without any international mandate or recognition. This time, he listed four countries who allegedly “do not fully cooperate with the United States antiterrorist efforts for the 2023 calendar year.” As opposed to what has happened in recent years, the list does not slanderously include Cuba among such countries.

At the prestigious Ugandan teaching institution, they were received by its rector Professor Celestino Obua, Vice-Chancellors and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
