Havana, (Prensa Latina) Slanders and accusations, especially against Cuba's international medical cooperation, are today part of a growing hostility escenario by the US Government against Cuba.

Cuban Foreign Minister participates in UN high level meeting on health

The Cuban delegation presented Cuba´s achievements in this arena and the country’s international cooperation, offered in spite of obstacles created by the U.S. blockade. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, began his remarks with a condemnation of the United States which has attempted to discredit and sabotage Cuba's medical cooperation, based on ethical and humanistic principles, an example of South-South cooperation, and that has helped countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa and Asia to improve health coverage and provide medical care in remote areas.
