Cuba Solidarity Campaign in the United Kingdom condemns US intervention in Cuba.
London, 11 November 2021- The Cuba Solidarity Campaign condemns the actions of individuals, groups and governments that are attempting to destabilise Cuba by supporting, financing and co-ordinating protests around the world, and in Cuba itself, from 14-15 November.
The Morning Star recognizes the Cuba´example in tackling climate change and shows solidarity with the Island.
London, 11 November- Campaigners and unions are right to call for an affordable, universal and comprehensive transport system as the only way to cut carbon emissions from travel.
The fact is that without planned, co-ordinated responses at governmental and intergovernmental level with the powers to enforce them, we will continue hurtling towards climate catastrophe while politicians continue talking.
Conference on the figure of Raúl Castro Ruz held in the United Kingdom.
London, 10 November. - British academic Antoni Kapcia, founder of the Centre for Research on Cuba at the University of Nottingham, today gave an online conference on the figure of Raúl Castro Ruz, under the title Understanding Raúl Castro is to understand the whole Cuba Revolution. The event is part of a series of seminars organized by the International Institute for the Study of Cuba, attached to the University of Buckingham.
60th Anniversary of Literacy Campaign Marked in London.
London, 3 November 2021- The 60th Anniversary of the Cuba’s Literacy Campaign and the creation of the National Union of Education, Science and Sports Workers (SNTECD) was commemorated in an online meeting, organized by the Cuba Solidarity Campaign (CSC) and the UK's National Education Union (NEU), under the slogan “Viva Education! Viva Solidarity!”. The meeting featured Niurka González Oberá, General Secretary of SNTECD; Daniel Kebede, President of NEU, and Bernard Regan, CSC National Secretary.
