Friends of Cuba in the United Kingdom highlight the example of the island worldwide, during the presentation of the documentary “Mi primera tarea”.

London, 8 August 2021- Members of the Cuba solidarity organisation "Rock Around the Blockade" (RATB) and the Revolutionary Communist Group in the United Kingdom highlighted  this Sunday that the island constitutes a paradigm for progressive forces worldwide, on the occasion of the virtual presentation of the documentary “Mi primera tarea” (My first Task). They also recognised the country's achievements in education, health and sports, mentioning in particular the results obtained by Cuba at the Tokyo Olympic Games, where it came 14th in the overall medal table by country.

The Communist Party of Great Britain (CPB) branch in the North London area, organised a virtual event of solidarity with the island, under the slogan "Hands off Cuba", in which representatives of the Cuba Solidarity Campaign and the Cuban mission in London participated.

Unite condemns United States interference in the internal affairs of Cuba

London, 21 July  2021 

Unite, the UK’s leading union, which has long supported progressive causes in Latin America, has declared its belief that recent disturbances in Cuba have at their root cause the inhumane blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba and which adversely effects many countries that wish to trade with Cuba.
Unite fully acknowledges the essential grievances of Cuban workers and their families due to shortages of food, power and medicines that became more acute during the Trump presidency and have not been alleviated under President Biden.
