60th Anniversary Seal of ICAP is awarded to the Cuba Solidarity Campaign in the UK

London, 20 March 2021 - The Cuba Solidarity Campaign in the United Kingdom received today, virtually, ICAP's 60th Anniversary Commemorative Seal, during an emotional national meeting held this Saturday morning. 

The President of ICAP, Fernando González Llort, sent a recorded message to the meeting, which was also attended by the Ambassador of Cuba to the United Kingdom, Bárbara Elena Montalvo Álvarez.  Both acknowledged the impressive work carried out by the Campaign over the years.

In a message posted on Twitter by the ambassador of that nation in Havana, Antony Stokes, the heir to the British crown expressed his “deep gratitude to the government and the Cuban people for the extraordinary efforts they made to help repatriate the passengers and crew of the cruise ship MS Braemar “.

Embassy of Cuba in London participates in the event "Karl Marx Oration".

London, March 15, 2021.- Officials of the Embassy of Cuba in the British capital participated yesterday in the virtual meeting " Karl Marx Oration", organized by the Communist Party of Britain and the Marx Memorial Library and Workers' School, which was part of the tribute that is held every year to the German thinker in commemoration of his death.

Meeting with the Cross-Party Group of Scotland

The occasion also provided an opportunity to bid farewell to the member of the Scottish Parliament and Coordinator of the Cross-Party, Elaine Smith, who is standing down from her parliamentary activities. 

The Cuban deputy, Oden Marichal, sent a recorded message in which he thanked Elaine, on behalf of the National Assembly of the People's Power, for her important contribution to the movement of solidarity with Cuba in the United Kingdom.

UK’s soft launch of the Caribbean Research and Innovation Collaboration for Knowledge Exchange and Transfer

London, February 18th, 2021 – The soft launch of the Caribbean Research and Innovation Collaboration for Knowledge Exchange and Transfer (CRICKET CIC) took place today. This Community Interest Company (CIC, non-profit organization), founded on August 13th, 2020, aims to facilitate collaboration between researchers from the UK and the Caribbean, as a contribution towards achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
