Documentary on Cuba's response to COVID-19 presented AT British Festival of Social Science

British academic Helen Yaffe, from the University of Glasgow, and Cuban doctor Valia Rodríguez, from the University of Aston, presented the documentary "Cuba and the Covid-19: Public Health, Science and Solidarity" yesterday. The material was premiered as part of the festival of social science of the Economic and Social Research Council of UKRI, a British organization dedicated to research and innovation.

Cuban Ambassador participates in preliminary meeting for the Chatham House Conference on Latin America

The Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Bárbara Montalvo Álvarez, participated in a virtual meeting of the GRULA heads of mission in preparation for the Chatham House Conference on Latin America, scheduled for 16 and 17 November. The conference, which on this occasion will be held virtually, is part of the Chatham House LIVE series and will bring together policy makers, business leaders and international experts with a global audience to reflect on the economic, political, social and geopolitical impact of the COVID-19 on the region and the measures taken in response so far.

Cuban Ambassador participates in a virtual conference of Canning House

The Cuban Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Bárbara Montalvo Álvarez, participated, together with other Heads of Missions from Latin America and the Caribbean, in the virtual conference for the tenth anniversary of the Canning Agenda, launched by the British Government in 2010 and in which the revitalization of the UK's relations with Latin America was reinforced.
