Claudia Webbe MP nominates Cuban medics for Nobel Peace Prize
Claudia Webbe, has become the 6th Member of the UK Parliament to have formally nominated Cuba’s Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. Claudia was elected in December 2019 to represent the constituency Leicester East.
In her nomination submission Claudia Webbe MP said:
“Over the past fifteen years, around 10,000 members of the Henry Reeve International Brigade have saved 90,000 lives during natural disasters and health emergencies. I believe that their selfless internationalism deserves recognition.”

Mick Whitley, British Member of Parliament for Birkenhead in North West England, has formally nominated Cuba’s Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade to receive the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. Mick is the forth British MP to formally nominate the Brigade alongside fellow MPs Grahame Morris, Navendu Mishra and Rachel Hopkins.
In his submission to the Nobel Prize Committee Mick said that he believed Cuba’s medics deserved the award
“for their humanitarian work and for their outstanding contribution to health in many of the poorest countries of the world.”

Another British Member of Parliament, Rachel Hopkins, has nominated Cuba’s Henry Reeve International Medical Brigade to receive the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. Rachel Joins fellow MPs Grahame Morris and Navendu Mishra in making a formal nomination.

Sponsored by the Caribbean Council think tank, the event presented the newly created company Biofarma Innovations, a joint venture partnership between BioCubaFarma and the Salamanca Group, which served as a platform to show Cuba's advances in the biotechnology sector and the country's potential in the production of innovative medicines.
