U.S. event in Cuba through film.

The American Film Showcase (AFS) organizes today a program of documentaries in the central hall of this capital 23 and 12, to be exhibited from June 22 to 25.

Conceived in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (Icaic) and the Ministry of Culture, the AFS event will open with the screening of the audiovisual Black Art: In the Absence of Light.

Díaz-Canel convenes the G-77 + China Summit in Havana.

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in his capacity as President Pro Tempore of the G-77 + China Group, convened a Summit of Heads of State and Government under the theme "Current Challenges of Development: Role of Science, Technology and Innovation", on September 15 and 16, 2023, in Havana.

According to a message posted this morning on his Twitter account, the Head of State said that "the occasion should serve to strengthen our unity and decide on collective and practical actions in the effective confrontation of contemporary challenges".

Cuban diplomats pay tribute to Maceo and Ché in Washington D.C.

On June 14, the 178th and 95th anniversary of the birth of Antonio Maceo and Ernesto Guevara, respectively, Cuba remembers them.

With the strength of the "Bronze Titan" and the internationalism of the "Heroic Guerrilla", members of Cuba's diplomatic mission in Washington, D.C., reiterated that they will keep alive the historical legacy of these two great figures.

With the lyrics of "Son los Sueños Todavía", by the outstanding composer Gerardo Alfonso and "Quién Fuera como Maceo" by Francis del Río, the Cuban diplomats paid a heartfelt tribute to these two heroes.

Cuba convenes the IV Conference The Nation and Emigration.

Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez informed today that Cuba will hold the IV Conference The Nation and Emigration on November 18 and 19 in Havana.

The foreign minister stressed in a statement shared on Twitter that the event is an expression of the Cuban government's unequivocal will to continue deepening ties and dialogue with its nationals abroad, "in defense of our sovereignty and for national development."

Support grows in the Americas for the European campaign against the blockade of Cuba.

The Europe for Cuba channel today highlighted the support in Central America, the Caribbean and the South of the continent for its World Tsunami campaign against the blockade of Cuba, an initiative that is now in its third month.

In recent weeks, the platform that promotes solidarity with the island released on social networks new videos and messages from organizations that added their voice to the denunciation of the economic, commercial and financial siege imposed on the Antillean nation by Washington and the demand for its immediate and unconditional lifting.
