A sublime brushstroke for Cuba
Floral wreaths from the leader of the Revolution, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and Communist Party of Cuba First Secretary Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez adorned the funeral tribute to renowned artist Ernesto Rancaño.
The remains of the man who painted poetry and captured the Martí dwelling in the soul of the homeland, to which he devoted his life and sublime brushstrokes, were placed in the San Francisco de Asís convent, in the historic center of Havana, for the ceremony, attended by Minister of Culture Alpidio Alonso, and many admirers.
US news network praises development of Cuban vaccines
Washington, March 1
Cuba’s development of five Covid-19 vaccines is good news for people in poor countries who are waiting to be immunized, the NBC News network reported.
In its report, the network explained the reasons that led a small island, punished by a blockade imposed for decades by the United States, to hold the lead in the list of the best vaccinated nations in the world, ahead of even developed countries in Europe and North America.

Last 26 February, the Cuban Government issued a Statement on the events in Ukraine, clearly adopting a stance in favor of a solution that guarantees the security and sovereignty of all and addresses legitimate humanitarian concerns.
Cuba champions International Law and is committed to the Charter of the United Nations. Cuba will always defend peace and unambiguously oppose the use or threat of use of force against any State.
