Cuba congratulates its youth on the anniversaries of their organizations
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated today the members of the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM) and the Young Communist League (UJC) on the occasion of their 62nd and 61st anniversaries, respectively.
In his Twitter profile, the Cuban leader defined these militants as hope and future of the nation. "We come from the @OPJMCuba and the @UJCdeCuba and we feel part of you," he said.
Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and other leaders of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Government also congratulated the pioneers and young Cubans on their day.
Cuba-US agricultural sector ties highlighted
The director of International Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture Orlando Diaz today highlighted the links between the agricultural sector of Cuba and the United States, despite the blockade imposed by the northern nation to the island.
During the first day of the IV Cuba-U.S. Agricultural Business Conference, Diaz highlighted that several U.S. businessmen of the sector advocate the repeal of Washington's hostile policy and the establishment of normal relations in the commercial order between the two countries, especially in that area.

The final results of vaccination with the combined scheme of Soberana 02 and Soberana Plus -both developed by the Finlay Vaccine Institute (IFV)- in children between two and 11 years of age in Cuba, during the infectious wave of the Omicron variant of SARS-COV-2, showed an effectiveness of more than 80%, the institution said on Twitter.
According to the Preprint of the results, after a regression discontinuity study, and shared by the ifv, 1,098,817 fully vaccinated children between two and 11 years of age and 98,342 unvaccinated one-year-old children were included in the study.
Final results confirm majority participation of the people in national elections.
The National Electoral Council (CEN) highlighted the majority participation of the Cuban people in the national elections of last March 26, when 6 167 605 voters exercised their right to vote, which represented 75.87% of an updated total of 8 129 321 voters.
Alina Balseiro Gutiérrez, president of the CEN, informed in a press conference, in this capital, that the number of voters who went to the polls was higher than the two electoral processes that preceded it: the referendum of the Family Code and the municipal elections.
The Cuban people are the main protagonists of the victory in the National Elections.
"The people, the heroic Cuban people, are the most significant in this victory," stressed on Wednesday the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, referring to the results obtained in last Sunday's National Elections.
