Cuba in Vietnam Expo 2025 to boost food production
The fundamental objective driving Cuban companies to participate in the Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo 2025) is to attract investment that will enable them to boost food production in Cuba.
Doriel González, vice president of the Food and Poultry Business Group (GEALAV), told Prensa Latina that the intention is to attract foreign investment and, through an international economic partnership, promote the production of both chicken meat and eggs, two products in high demand and whose acquisition in the domestic market is guaranteed. He also explained that GEALAV has 26 production companies, a research institute, and a genetics company that has supported egg production since 1963.
Vietnam-Cuba Business Forum held in Hanoi
The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), in collaboration with the Cuban Embassy in Hanoi, and the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, held the Vietnam-Cuba Business Forum in Hanoi on April 2. Addressing the event, Cuban Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes affirmed that Cuba will always stand alongside the Vietnamese Government and business community in their efforts to achieve the challenging target socio-economic goals.
He expressed his hope that Vietnam-Cuba relations and cooperation between their businesses will continue to grow, entering a new phase of comprehensive, effective, practical, and sustainable collaboration.
Vietnamese economy executive calls for improved ties with Cuba
Vice president of Vietnam’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hoang Quang Phong, urged here today to take full advantage of the opportunities to bring the economic relationship with Cuba to a new height. Quang Phong made his call while speaking at the Vietnam-Cuba Business Forum, held as part of the Vietnam Expo 2025 International Fair, currently attended by a large Cuban delegation.
The executive voiced full confidence in the prospects of cooperation among enterprises from both countries, as they achieve more substantive and practical results every day, and emphasized they have all benefitted from the bilateral trade agreement in force since 2020.

Vietnam pushes for cybercrime combat at int’l conferences in Cuba
A delegation from the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam, led by Deputy Prosecutor General Lieut. Gen. Ta Quang Khai, attended the 16th International Conference on Forensic Science and the 4th International Conference on Rule of Law, Law, and Society in Havana, Cuba from March 24-28. In his presentation on bolstering global efforts against cybercrime in Vietnam, Khai highlighted the rapid rise of technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), 5G networks, and biotechnology.
