Vietnam, Cuba to strengthen ties in biotechnology
The Finlay Vaccines Institute of Cuba and the Vietnamese company Vabiotech on November 24 agreed to strengthen ties in the field of biotechnology.
“A delegation from Vabiotech headed by its director Nguyen Anh Tuan visited the Finlay Institute, where they discussed collaboration and future projects. The Vietnamese representatives were updated on the work of the institution,” according to a message from the Cuban institute on the social network X, as cited by Cuban news agency Prensa Latina (PL).
Vietnam, Cuba consolidate defence ties
Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics under the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) Sen. Lieut. Gen. Trinh Van Quyet hosted a reception in Hanoi on November 24 for a young officer delegation from the Cuban Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces, led by second chief of the ministry's Political Directorate General of Brigade Marcelo Perez.
Public Security Ministry delegation visits Cuba
A delegation from the Ministry of Public Security led by Deputy Minister Major General Nguyen Van Long paid a working visit to Cuba from November 15-18.
At the talks between Long and Cuban Minister of the Interior Lázaro Alberto Álvarez Casas, the two sides evaluated the outcomes of the implementation of a cooperation agreement signed between the two ministries in 2018, and reviewed the partnership between the two sides in recent years.
Vietnam, int'l community call on US to end blockade on Cuba

A donation of 1,200 tons of rice from the Communist Party, the State, and the people of Ho Chi Minh City is ready at the Cat Lai port on Wednesday to be shipped to Cuba.
