Vietnam participate at the 3rd International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-wing Parties and Movements in Cuba
Representatives from communist parties and left-wing movements appreciated Vietnam’s revolutionary theory closely linked with its development realities and the trends of the times at the 3rd International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Left-wing Parties and Movements, held from October 16-18, in Cuba. Phan Xuan Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, led a delegation to attend the event where he shared some theoretical and practical issues related to the new era of development in Vietnam. During their participation in the meeting, the Vietnamese delegation held meetings with Politburo member, permanent member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Central Committee, and head of the committee’s Organisation Commission Roberto Morales Ojeda, and some senior Cuban officials.
Vietnam launches national donation campaign to support Cuban people
A national donation campaign was launched in Hanoi on August 13 to rally support for the Cuban people on the occasion of the Vietnam – Cuba Friendship Year and the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
Organised by the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS) Central Committee in coordination with ministries, central agencies, and mass organisations, the event was held in person and online, connecting with 33 localities nationwide.
Vietnam, Cuba sign agreement in judicial sector
Visiting Vietnamese Minister of Justice Nguyễn Hải Ninh and his Cuban counterpart Oscar Manuel Silvera Martínez have signed an agreement on a technical assistance project for the Cuban Ministry of Justice to enhance its capacity in developing and implementing laws, following their recent talks in Havana.
From August 11–12, Ninh led a delegation from the Vietnamese ministry on a working visit to Cuba to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the judicial field.
Top Vietnamese, Cuban legislators pledge stronger ties at Geneva meeting
Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Tran Thanh Man emphasised Vietnam’s commitment to deepen the traditional solidarity and special friendship with Cuba at his meeting with President of the National Assembly of People’s Power of Cuba Esteban Lazo in Geneva, Switzerland, on July 30.
At the event, which took place on the sidelines of the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament at the UN headquarters, the Vietnamese top legislator expressed his delight at the robust development of the bilateral relations over the recent past, particularly the close cooperation between the two legislatures.
Vietnam–Cuba timeless bond looks towards sustainable future
The Vietnam–Cuba relationship is a unique bond of brotherhood and solidarity, forged through their struggles against imperialism and in the process of building socialism, and stands as a lasting legacy that transcends geographical distance and cultural differences toward a sustainable future, according to Gerardo Penalver Portal, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba. In an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the two countries, Peñalver Portal highlighted the special nature and key milestones in the bilateral relations, which have been strengthened by leaders of both countries.
