Vietnam, Cuba foster defence collaboration

Sen. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and Deputy Minister of National Defence, and visiting Sen. Lieut. Gen. Roberto Legra Sotolongo, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces held talks in Hanoi on October 24.

Vietnamese President values documentary series on ties with Cuba

Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong highly valued the efforts of the Ministries of Defense of his country and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba for the making of the documentary Two Hearts in One Heartbeat. The connection between the noble revolutionary ideals and the desire to fight for independence, freedom and national liberation fostered sympathy and understanding between the peoples of Vietnam and Cuba, creating a special and beautiful symbolic relationship, he stressed.

Book on Cuba-Vietnam relationship introduced

The National Political Publishing House held a ceremony in Hanoi on October 3 to introduce the book entitled "Cuba - Vietnam: Two Nations, One History”.

The event was part of activities to mark the 60th founding anniversary of the Cuban Committee for Solidarity with South Vietnam and the 50th anniversary of leader Fidel Castro’s visit to Vietnam and the southern liberated zone.

Special buses run in HCM City to promote Vietnam-Cuba solidarity

Two special buses made a trip around Ho Chi Minh City on September 30 to promote the special solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of leader Fidel Castro’s visit to the liberated zone in Quang Tri province (1973-2023).
