Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba

On 17 February this year, the United States Embassy in Havana and the Department of State informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the occurrence of some alleged incidents affecting some officials of that diplomatic mission and their families.

This Sunday, July 30, 2017, during elections for the National Constituent Assembly in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Venezuelan people demonstrated to the world that they are in full possession of their sovereign rights, and are firmly on the side of peace, in defense of citizen security, of independence and self-determination in their homeland, as they have been throughout the history of Latin America and the Caribbean, since Bolívar.

Zimbabwe, July 26, 2017.- Cuban doctors, members of the Cuban Embassy staff and members of the Cuban community resident in Zimbabwe  celebrated with a political-recreational activity the 64th anniversary of the assaults on the Moncada barrack in Santiago de Cuba and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barrack in Bayamo.

Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla welcomed the United Nations independent expert on human rights and international solidarity, Virginia Dandan Thursday, at the Cuban Foreign Ministry headquarters.
