Ambassador of Cuba gave a Master Lecture at the Department of International Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa

On 5 September 2017, Ambassador of Cuba to South Africa, Carlos Fernandez de Cossio, gave a Master Lecture at the Department of International Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa (DIRCO).

The main topic of this lecture centered around Cuba's foreign policy and the historical relationship between the Revolution and the African continent, including South Africa.

Mr Fernandez de Cossio also referred to the negative effects of the economic and financial blockade policy that, for more than five decades, have been implemented by successive US governments against the people of Cuba.

The event was attended by senior officials from DIRCO and other South African ministries, as well as the Office of the President and Vice-President of the country.
