NEW AFRICAN CHARTER INTERNATIONAL

16th February, 2026
In response to the executive order manufactured by the US President on 29th January, 2026 the New African Charter International (NACI) today, 16th February, 2026 announces its total rejection of the actions of the US government and their complete disregard for the peace, freedom and dignity of the Cuban people. These new actions are part of a broader heinous and spurious agenda designed by Washington to implement regime change in Cuba. We stand in solidarity with the Cuban people, and their resolve to resist any threats of military action, well-wrapped lies, economic sabotage, malicious propaganda or forceful regime change in Havana.
The Cuban people are united in their resolve never to surrender their sovereignty, national independence and dignity to the manipulative mechanism of foreign oppressors. This position is one that is rooted in freedom, and not one rooted in hostility, hatreds, malice or grudges. So, the demand by the Cuban people to be left alone to shape their own future direction is neither extremism nor defiance but a legitimate aspiration and naturally acclaimed demand protected under international law.
The real threat is not about the progress chalked and continues to achieve by the Cuban socialist revolution, it is about the US attempts to destroy the Cuban people by enforcing a criminal fuel blockade against the Caribbean nation. A 64-year trade embargo, spurious sanctions, as well as an undeclared heinous war against the Cuban people, also remain in place.
Threatening to impose trade tariffs on imported products from countries that are supplying oil to Cuba is a declaration of war against humanity. The gravity of the human rights and humanitarian situation in Cuba due to the US embargo and other coercive policies cannot be explained here. Suffice it to say that, the US hatred for Cuba amounts only to collective punishment against a sovereign independent nation. This is unacceptable and NACI wants to state it crystal clear that Cuba is not alone and that Africa’s friendship and solidarity with the Caribbean nation are unflinching.
To the US politicians who are acting on behalf of the Deep State to blackmail and suppress the Cuban government, the New African Charter International is not only an anti-imperialist, but also a foundation to strengthen Africa’s natural relationship and solidarity with Cuba and the entire people of the Caribbean and Latin America. NACI condemns in the most uncertain terms the US threat towards Cuba-a threat that destroys civilised societies.
Surprised by the ceaseless international solidarity with Cuba, the Deep State, represented by Washington has used all the tools at its disposal, including inventing fabricated stories and lies, fabricating coercive policies and misguided statements, to implement regime change in Cuba, but all attempts ended to naught and cannot weaken the resolved of the Cuban people to rally behind their leaders. The truth is that Cuba is not Venezuela and Cuba cannot be Venezuela, where traitors betrayed their conscience, their families, their leaders and nation for a life of opulence and immorality. t
The US criminal blockade and collective punishment against Cuba are among the most serious violations of international law and pose threat to the UN Charter and other legitimate international instruments. These policies have existed since 1962, and constitute a vice that erodes human dignity and threatens the existence of the environment. The international community has a moral responsibility to reject these policies and to ensure that they are not allowed to give expression anywhere in the world.
NACI is concerned about the desperate use of unilateral coercive measures by Washington against Cuba and other countries that cherish peace, progress and development. Our stark reminder to the international community is that the US blockade and coercive measures against Cuba run at variance with the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and International Law, multilateralism and basic norms of international relations. NACI is deeply troubled by the gravity of human rights violations and the threat to the existence of targeted countries, which cause severe hindrance to progress and development.
It is an internationally accepted norm that human beings were born with equal rights. With the US blockade and other heinous punishments in place, the people of Cuba, particularly women, children, youth, the elderly and persons with disabilities are being deprived of the full realization of their dignity, their well-being and happiness. NACI demands the removal of all blockade targeting Cuba’s commerce, trade, financial transactions and economic activities, and, as well as the immediate and unconditional lifting of current unilateral coercive measures and ending the collective punishment against Cuba.
We urge the Trump administration in Washington to respect the sovereignty of Cuba and never to indulge again in any act that threatens the existence of the Cuban nation. All policies and measures that are detrimental to the humanitarian needs of the people of Cuba should be halted and abandoned forever.
In solidarity with Cuba!
