Cuban Ambassador to Laos is received by the Head of Institute of Foreign Relations

Vientiane, February 12, 2026. Cuban Ambassador Enna Viant Valdes paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Institute of Foreign Relations (IRE) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Mr. Vantouniyoum Doungmala, whom she congratulated on his recent appointment.

Both parties discussed the status of the agreement signed between the Raul Roa Garcia Higher Institute of International Relations and the IRE, its Lao counterpart, new initiatives in bilateral cooperation, and the current regional and international situation.
