The Cuban Ambassador receives the visit from Sierra Leonean Cardiologist Graduated in Cuba

Freetown, April 10, 2026 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Sierra Leone, Ms. Norma Sánchez Águila, received Dr. Albert Ina Charles, a Sierra Leonean cardiologist who graduated in Cuba, at the Cuba Embassy in Freetown.

Dr. Charles was selected by the Medical University of Ciego de Ávila to directly pursue a specialization in Cardiology due to his excellent academic performance during his studies.

During the cordial exchange, Dr. Charles thanked Cuba for his medical training, expressing his commitment to saving the lives of Sierra Leonean citizens and contributing to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
