Vientiane, January 8, 2026. Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla sends a clear message to US President Donald Trump.
To those who now say that Cuba will be next, we say: remember the Cuban people throughout their history, and today, like Maceo, we say:
"Whoever tries to seize Cuba will gather the dust of its soil soaked in blood, if they do not perish in the struggle."
Maceo embodied the determination of an entire people, maintained throughout history and more than one hundred years of struggle, to fight the invader at any cost.
He was the man who, with his actions and his thoughts, forged the rebellious soul of an entire nation.
Honor and glory to the fallen combatants in Venezuela.
