Diaz-Canel assesses achievements in Cuban foreign policy

Havana, April 11, 2022.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Monday analyzed the main results and projections of Cuba's foreign policy in 2022, as part of an annual assessment meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Presidency said on Twitter that Prime Minister Manuel Marrero also attended the meeting.

The debate is about the need to increase the fight against the United States economic, commercial and financial blockade and the media war against Cuba.

Participants are also assessing the possibilities of strengthening ties with Cuban residents abroad and further supporting the country’s economy.

In a tweet, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez described 2021 as a challenging year amid a complex international scenario and the brutal enforcement of the blockade, which is considered a genocidal policy that violates Cubans’ human rights.
